Reduce Fertiliser Inputs by up to 30 - 50%
Harness the power that is foliar applied nutrient by dissolving granular fert, applying it as a foliar application, reducing losses, saving dollars and growing better for less.

Sheep and beef farmers need flexible, efficient systems that deliver more feed from the same land. Tow and Fert allows fine particle and foliar fertiliser application that increases dry matter response, while also enabling direct application of animal health minerals through the pasture. With the ability to combine products in one pass, farmers reduce costs, save time, and improve animal health across the season.

Tow and Fert helps pasture‑based farmers grow more feed with less bagged fertiliser by shifting inputs of nitrogen and other nutrients into highly efficient foliar applications. Dissolving granular fertiliser and spraying it onto the leaf delivers nutrients directly into the plant, rather than relying on soil conditions, so a greater proportion of each unit of N is converted into extra dry matter. Trials with foliar N on pasture have shown similar grass growth from much lower nitrogen rates compared with granular urea, meaning more kilograms of dry matter per kilogram of N applied. That improved efficiency lets you trim back total fertiliser inputs by 30–50% in many systems while still maintaining the feed you need, especially around shoulders of the season. The result is lower fertiliser bills, less nutrient loss risk and the confidence you are growing quality pasture more sustainably.

Tow and Fert is designed to get the most out of every kilogram of nitrogen you apply to pasture. By delivering N as a foliar spray, nutrients enter through the leaf within hours, bypassing many of the soil processes that can tie up or lose nitrogen as gas or leachate. Studies on foliar N in grazing systems report uptake efficiencies that can be several times higher than conventional granular urea, translating into more kilograms of dry matter grown per kilogram of N applied. This is especially valuable in cooler or drier conditions, when soil‑driven responses slow but animals still need feed.
Tow and Fert also allows you to run smaller, more frequent applications that closely match plant demand, reducing the risk of luxury uptake, lodging or wasted N. Better nitrogen‑use efficiency means you can support animal performance while containing total N use and its environmental footprint.

With Tow and Fert, pasture nutrition is no longer held hostage by the weather forecast or contractor availability. Foliar nutrients can be applied before or after rainfall, and do not rely on perfectly dry conditions or soil moisture to move fertiliser into the root zone. Nutrients absorbed through the leaf give a rapid response, which is ideal when you need a quick lift in feed ahead of grazing rounds, calving or lambing. Being able to work in shorter windows also makes it easier to manage large or hill‑country blocks, where waiting for the perfect spreading conditions might mean missing the growth opportunity altogether. Tow and Fert’s ability to tank‑mix multiple nutrients and compatible additives in one pass strengthens this flexibility, allowing you to align applications with stock movements and pasture covers rather than chasing rare “ideal” days. The payoff is more consistent pasture growth and better alignment between feed supply and animal demand.

Tow and Fert enables you to deliver key trace elements such as cobalt, selenium and iodine via the pasture leaf, so animals take up what they need while grazing, without extra yarding, licks or drenches. These trace minerals are critical for immunity, growth, reproduction and energy metabolism in grazing livestock, yet many pasture systems, show widespread deficiencies.
Applying them foliarly improves the concentration and uniformity of minerals in the sward, supporting more reliable intake across the mob and reducing the peaks and troughs common with intermittent dosing. Because Tow and Fert can combine trace elements with foliar N or other nutrients, you can integrate animal health support into your normal pasture‑growth sprays, saving labour and handling stress. Healthier, better‑mineralised animals convert pasture more efficiently and are better equipped to handle production pressure and challenging seasons.
